With Christmas fast approaching, many of us are trying to drum up suitable Christmas ideas: what to bake, what activities we want to include in our calendar, and what items we can give as gifts.
Christmas Ideas
In today's post, I'll share some favorite recipes that I use each year for my Christmas baking, as well as ideas for inexpensive Christmas presents and insights on easy-to-adopt Christmas traditions + some links to other helpful articles.
Christmas Recipe Ideas
My all-time favorite Christmas recipe is 4-2-1 shortbread. This recipe results in thick and failproof shortbread. This recipe is easy to remember and makes lots of mouthwatering shortbread cookies.
Another favorite recipe is for butter tart bars. These are every bit as good as butter tarts but without all the work of making pastry. If you like the taste of butter and nuts, this recipe really hits the spot.
Frugal Giving Ideas
The sheer cost of giving is something that weighs on our minds at this time of year. Check out my article Inexpensive Christmas Gifts for 10 ideas for frugal giving.
Ideas for Creating Memorable Christmas Traditions
Nothing seals Christmas in our memories so much as Christmas Traditions. Creating memorable Christmas traditions isn't difficult and annual activties enrich the holidays, adding fun and excitement to the Christmas season.
